Sometimes a planner just knows when a wedding will be amazing. This celebration did not disappoint! Grace and Patrick chose to be married at St. Matthew’s, a majestic cathedral set in the heart of D.C. with Du Pont Circle just steps away. The celebration continued at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, an equally grand and impressive venue! I particularly love D.C. celebrations — the energy and excitement is palpable in the air. Add in the fact that it is Memorial Day in the District…. I think May weddings might be my favorite. The weather is perfect, all of summer is ahead of you, and there is so much sunlight! The best part was seeing the love and support for them from their family and friends. With two hundred guests in attendance and twenty – two attendants by their side, it was quite a testament to them. Did I mention the groom’s uncle married them? But for me seeing how happy and in love is the best part. The bride wore a vintage gown that perfectly suited her and was perfect for their first dance. When we dimmed the light for open dancing, this crowd was fully ready to celebrate this couple. You know it’s a good crowd, when they’re chanting “One more song…!” So cheers to Grace and Patrick, and wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
